INTRODUCING MR. VIP #6
We are excited to announce the search for a new VIP. Our client is a youthful and handsome man whose contemporaries think looks 50. He stands a tall 6’2” with a full head of sandy blond hair and blue eyes and a fit, athletic physique conditioned from regular daily fitness. His heritage is a blend of Western and Northern European. He was born in upstate New York, did his schooling in Western Pennsylvania, and came to Silicon Valley in the late 90s for the Internet Gold Rush.
Professionally our VIP is CEO of an AI startup funded by top VCs. He earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science from a top university working in the area of machine learning and programming language theory. Not counting his current CEO role, he is a four-time successful entrepreneur, helping lead those companies to IPOs or acquisitions. He currently serves on multiple boards and is an active angel investor.
He is well traveled, having been to all seven continents and perhaps 50 countries.
He is an avid biker, hiker, skier, diver and weight lifter. He is a serious outdoorsman, having encountered most of the large African and North American animals on foot in the wild (he is still hoping to add Mountain Lion and Leopard, but planning to skip Polar Bear). He has swum with dolphins, Pilot Whales, large sharks (Tiger, Bull, Hammerhead), as well as a Humpback and her calf (his favorite wildlife encounter to date). He’d love a partner who loves travel, adventure and fitness as he does.
Outside of his very successful career as a visionary and leader in his field, he’s a devoted father, philanthropist, lover of wine, novice student of Buddhism, and lifelong learner with broad interests in science, the arts and philosophy. He and his ex wife parted ways after a nearly twenty year relationship, but remain amicable and kind to one another.
His son and daughter are now teenagers and spend approximately a third of their time with him. Being a parent is the best thing he’s done in life, but he original expected his progeny would look to him for leadership rather than doing their best to bend him to their will nearly since birth.
Charities he supports include education, environment/climate (EDF, NRDC) and health/science (UCSF). He discovered wine when his second startup took off and has become a collector (his new home has a 3000 bottle cellar he hopes to fill with selections from California and Burgundy). He is a lover of live music, and incredulous that his son has gotten him collecting vinyl again, years after he jettisoned his collection of alternative, jazz and classical albums.
His believes his best suited partner is in her 30’s or 40’s. She could be based anywhere in the world but would be willing and excited to relocate to Silicon Valley for true love!
